More announcement news is swimming right along today with COSEN’s My Girlfriend is a Mermaid!? Refine coming to the Playstation Store on August 5th, 2022! This release is an update of the version originally released on Nintendo Switch featuring a number of enhancements.

As the new title name implies, this release of My Girlfriend is a Mermaid!? adds a number of refinements. For starters, the opening video features a new opening theme by Miyazaki Tamako. The video itself also features additional visuals that were not in the original version.

A number of the game’s backgrounds have also been updated from the rough, photographic look that they had before in the Nintendo Switch release.

PlayStation 4 Version

Another update is that NPCs now have their own character sprites as well as character voice. On top of the original cast of Fuchigami Mai (Ion), Suzaki Aya (Petako) and Kageyama Risa (Rin), the cast now boasts an additional 14 voice actors for each of the NPCs in the game.

Please Note: There are no plans to update the Nintendo Switch release as far as we can tell. Also, we are not the publishers of the Steam version of My Girlfriend is a Mermaid!? and cannot comment on whether or not it will feature any of the updates in the PlayStation 4 release.
