We’re pleased to announce that Harukuru. – Spring has come true? – is now available on Steam! It’s been a long road to release with a fair amount of bumps on the road but now it is available for the first time in English. Many of you have questions and concerns regarding this release which will be addressed in this news post.

What’s New in the Steam Release?

• Content Patch – Due to content restrictions on certain platforms, a content patch is available for Harukuru. – Spring has come true? – on this site. This does NOT include any R18 content. Visit https://sekaiproject.com/product/harukuru-spring-has-come-true-uncut-dlc/ to grab the patch
• HD resolution – While the original, Japanese release resolution was 1024 x 576, the Steam release now can be run with a modern resolution of 1920 x 1080
• Updated CGs – A number of CGs have been redrawn by the original illustration team to take advantage of the increased screen resolution. Release also includes a number of new CGs
• New scenario text – Additional scenario text has been written by the Watanabe Ryouichi, original scenario writer of the game, to improve upon the content of the story
• Price and Availability – (Steam) $19.99 with a 10% discount for the first two weeks of release. Will be made available on other platforms at a later time.

What about the original release of the game?

When the developers decided to make a remastered version of the game, they did not envision updating the content for the original release of the game. With that said, they understand that some users may prefer the original release along with the R18 content in the game and it is with that consideration in mind that the legacy version of Harukuru. – Spring has come true? – will also be released at a later time.

The legacy release of Harukuru. – Spring has come true? – will preserve all the original content from the Japanese release but will not have the updated scenario, image assets or new screen resolution. Pricing will be set at $19.99 and is slated for a late Q1 2025 release on denpasoft.com.

Why is both versions of the game priced the same? Will there be an upgrade path if you purchase one version over another?

There will be no option to “upgrade” from one version to another because these are two entirely different versions of the game both in technical terms and content. The developers wish for users to have a choice on whether to enjoy this game in its original form or in the form of an updated experience based off the creative vision of the development team.
